A man was killed and his wife severely injured after armed assailants stormed their home in the village of Maryamin in Afrin\u2019s countryside early Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Afrin Human Rights Organization, Ibrahim Ahmad Yasin was shot dead inside his home, while his wife, Manal Mahmoud, sustained critical injuries and was transported to a hospital in Azaz, where she remains in intensive care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organization stated that three armed men entered the home at around 3 a.m., opened fire on the couple, then tied up their only child before fleeing the scene. Ibrahim Yasin died instantly from a direct gunshot wound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
