Discussing recent developments inside Syria, al-Shaybani said that the events seen in the Syrian coast were \u201corchestrated by the former regime\u201d, while the tensions in As-Suwayda were influenced by \u201cIsraeli intervention.\u201d He added that the interim government is working to \u201crebuild trust\u201d with the region\u2019s residents, pointing to external interference, acknowledging that \u201ceveryone has made mistakes,\u201d and noting that some parties \u201cdo not wish to reach a settlement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Shaybani stressed that rejecting sectarianism is essential for the success of the upcoming political phase, and that any approach based on dividing the country is \u201cincorrect.\u201d He further highlighted that transitional justice is a core pillar of the government\u2019s national reconciliation efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding negotiations with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), he stated there has been \u201cno positive or practical progress\u201d in talks with the group\u2019s commander, Mazloum Abdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On regional dynamics, al-Shaybani said that Israel \u201cis not satisfied with the change that has taken place in Syria\u201d and has continued its \u201cviolations,\u201d noting that the interim government has avoided escalation and opted to respond through diplomatic channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
