Abdullah al-Mousa, Assistant Minister of Information in the transitional government, told Al Arabiya and Al Hadath channels that \u201cthe attack is not innocent,\u201d adding that \u201cthe state\u2019s entry into Sweida is the solution, not the problem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Mousa stressed that the government \u201cremains committed to the roadmap that was announced last month,\u201d noting that \u201cthe intransigence of Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri is exacerbating the crisis in southern Syria,\u201d as he put it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian official emphasized that \u201cthe security agencies are committed to civil peace,\u201d and that \u201cthose involved in the recent events will be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that unidentified gunmen opened fire on a passenger bus near the \u201cMarjana\u201d station on the road connecting Damascus and Sweida, resulting in the death of two people and the injury of others, while the authorities did not release further details regarding the attackers\u2019 identities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
