United Nations Warns of Declining Humanitarian Funding in Syria

The United Nations announced that humanitarian funding efforts in Syria have helped cover the needs of nearly 10.3 million people under the Humanitarian Response Plan, aimed at assisting those affected by the ongoing crises.

According to a report issued by the UN Security Council, aid has focused on providing basic necessities such as food, shelter, clean water, and healthcare, particularly in areas suffering from food insecurity and high poverty rates.

Call to Sustain Support
The international organization stressed the importance of continued financial support from donor states, noting that humanitarian needs in Syria are growing due to worsening economic conditions and ongoing internal displacement.

The report warned that any decline in funding could exacerbate the humanitarian crisis and put millions of civilian lives at risk, urging intensified international efforts to ensure that aid reaches all those in need without obstacles.
