UNDOF Patrol Roams the Countryside of Quneitra as Israeli Aircraft Fly Over Daraa

A patrol belonging to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) carried out a field tour on Tuesday in the village of Saida al-Golan in the southern countryside of Quneitra, without any incidents being recorded.

Local sources stated that members of the patrol conducted a foot patrol through the village’s neighborhoods and the surrounding secondary roads, as part of monitoring the security situation in the area.

In a related development, sources reported repeated sightings of Israeli warplanes flying over the airspace of Daraa governorate, without any information regarding the nature or objectives of these flights.

An official United Nations delegation had held a meeting on December 11 of the current month with a number of residents of the town of Khan Arnabah in the Quneitra countryside, as part of following up on complaints related to violations and transgressions attributed to Israeli forces in the area.
