UN Committee Arrives in Quneitra to Investigate the Situation of the Affected People in Southern Syria

A delegation from the United Nations fact-finding committee arrived in Quneitra Governorate, southwestern Syria, on Saturday as part of a mission aimed at documenting the damages and hearing testimonies from the affected locals in the region.

Local sources reported that the UN delegation will conduct field tours to assess the extent of the damage to private property and infrastructure, which resulted from the Israeli army’s actions in the Quneitra countryside.

The sources added that the mission of the delegation includes listening to the testimonies of the affected residents and gathering information related to the field situation, in preparation for preparing documentary reports to be submitted to the relevant UN bodies.
