U.S. envoy to discuss red lines regarding Israeli activity in Syria with Netanyahu.

Israeli media reported on Sunday that U.S. envoy Tom Barak will discuss what they described as “red lines” related to Israeli activity in Syria during his upcoming meeting on Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to the diplomatic correspondent from Israeli Channel, Barak will arrive in Israel for talks with Netanyahu and other officials on a number of regional issues, with Syria being a key topic of discussion.

The report added that the U.S. administration views Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa as a partner working towards stability and guiding the country toward recovery, and Washington is working to avoid any actions that might undermine his authority or destabilize Syria.

The report further mentioned that the United States has concerns that the intensity of Israeli operations within Syrian territory could weaken the current regime, especially as Washington seeks to reach security arrangements or agreements regarding the situation in Syria.

Earlier this month, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Israel to maintain “strong and genuine dialogue” with Syria, stressing the importance of avoiding any steps that could hinder its recovery process. Trump stated on his platform, “Truth Social,” that Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa is working hard to ensure positive developments, expressing hope that Syria and Israel will establish a long-lasting and prosperous relationship.
