Trump Attacks China, Accuses It of Hostile Trade Actions and Threatens Retaliation

U.S. President Donald Trump launched a sharp attack on China, expressing concern over Beijing’s recent policies, which he described as “extremely hostile,” in a lengthy post published on Friday.
Trump stated that China has begun taking unprecedented steps, including urging countries around the world to impose controls on the export of rare metals and other materials related to industrial production—even those not manufactured within China—calling this move “evil and hostile.”
He added that these measures could cause “market congestion” and disrupt global economic activity, noting that the United States has received communications from other countries expressing anger over these sudden policies, despite the good relations between the U.S. and China during the past six months.
Trump emphasized that the United States possesses monopolistic capabilities in multiple fields that surpass China’s, noting that he has not yet needed to use these capabilities but hinted at possible retaliatory actions if China continues its current policies.
Trump also mentioned that he has not spoken with Chinese President Xi Jinping about this issue, considering this move a surprise to all leaders of the free world.
