The Jazira Region Command holds its annual meeting to assess performance and follow up on military developments.

On Saturday, the leadership of the Jazira Region Forces held its annual meeting with the leadership of the military councils and affiliated institutions, as part of an effort to follow up on political and military developments and evaluate organizational and military performance.
The meeting was chaired by Jazira Region Commander Sardar al-Halab, alongside regional General Leadership members Dhamhat Bursk and Avinar Derik, with the participation of the leadership of the military councils and representatives of military institutions.
The meeting began with a political briefing presented by the general leadership, covering the latest political and military developments in the areas of northern and eastern Syria, as well as nationwide, with a focus on the March 10th agreement as a key milestone in the path toward building a unified, decentralized state.
The attendees discussed the internal situation of the military councils, emphasizing the need to raise the level of readiness and preparedness for various scenarios, and the importance of continuing to conduct military training courses to enhance the forces’ capabilities.
The meeting reaffirmed the continued coordination and collaboration with the International Coalition forces as part of ongoing efforts to combat ISIS.
On the organizational front, a proposal was made to amend the military brigade system, which will later be discussed with the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the laws governing the work of military police.
The leadership of the councils and military institutions presented reports on their activities throughout 2025, including an overview of completed tasks and evaluative remarks concerning performance aspects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a series of organizational decisions were made, and an action plan for the upcoming period was approved. The plan included increasing attention to the families of martyrs and fighters, enhancing military training, raising the number of personnel, and strengthening military fortifications while keeping track of field developments.
