The head of the Transitional Government: We will rebuild and reunify Syria in the coming phase

The head of the Syrian Transitional Government affirmed on Monday that the upcoming phase will focus on rebuilding Syria and reunifying it geographically from north to south and from east to west.
In a speech delivered at the Umayyad Grand Mosque in Damascus after performing the dawn prayer, he stated that the government aims to “restore a strong Syria through reconstruction worthy of its present and past, reflecting its ancient civilization.”
The Umayyad Mosque witnessed a wide popular and official attendance during al-Shar’a’s dawn prayer, marking his first public appearance in the capital Damascus following recent political developments.
Al-Shar’a added that the Transitional Government “will not stop in the face of challenges, no matter their magnitude,” affirming its determination to confront the obstacles hindering the path toward restoring stability.
He also spoke about the gift presented by Prince Mohammed bin Salman—a piece of the Kaaba’s covering—during his visit, noting that placing this piece in the Umayyad Mosque carries symbolic significance that “strengthens the connection between Mecca and the Levant.” The piece was inaugurated in conjunction with the anniversary of what he described as “the victory.”
