Targeting of the Ambulance Department at Khaled Fajr Hospital in the Sheikh Maqsoud Neighborhood

The targeting carried out by forces affiliated with the transitional government struck the ambulance department at Khaled Fajr Hospital in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of the city of Aleppo, resulting in injuries among civilians and material damage inside the hospital.

Local sources reported that the shelling directly targeted the ambulance department at a time when the hospital was receiving casualties from the ongoing shelling of the neighborhood, which further exacerbated the humanitarian and medical situation and hindered the work of medical staff.

The targeting of medical facilities, particularly ambulance departments, constitutes a dangerous escalation and a clear violation of international laws, amid the continued shelling of the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid, accompanied by civilian casualties and a severe shortage of medical resources.
