Syria Officially Apologizes to Egypt After Demonstration in Damascus

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented an official apology to Egypt following a demonstration in the capital, Damascus, which included chants offensive to the Egyptian government.

The ministry affirmed that these actions do not reflect the stance of the Syrian people towards Egypt and expressed regret over some individuals exploiting the event in an attempt to sour relations between the two countries.

This step comes within Syria’s keenness to strengthen fraternal relations with Cairo and maintain diplomatic communication between the two nations.
