Sisi: Sharm El-Sheikh Summit Carries One Message — Enough War, Welcome Peace

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stated that the Sharm El-Sheikh summit on the Gaza Strip unites the will of the people to put an end to the war in Gaza, carrying a single message to humanity: “Enough war… and welcome peace.”
Sisi wrote on his Facebook account on Monday:

“I welcome His Excellency U.S. President Donald Trump and our esteemed guests participating in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit… From the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, where the will of the people meets the determination of world leaders to put an end to the war in Gaza, carrying one message to humanity: Enough war… and welcome peace.”
Sisi received his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport upon his arrival in Egypt to participate in the peace summit.
Trump arrived in Sharm El-Sheikh after a visit to Israel that lasted several hours. Egyptian fighter jets escorted the U.S. president’s plane from the moment it entered Egyptian airspace until its landing at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport, a welcome highlighting Egypt’s appreciation of Trump’s role in halting the Gaza war.
The “Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit” or “International Peace Summit” is held under the joint auspices of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump. Its aim is to sign a comprehensive plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip, which has lasted more than two years, with a focus on resuming the regional peace process, rebuilding Gaza, and ensuring security and political stability in the region.
