Security Deployment in Tartous as a Security Convoy Enters the City

The city of Tartous witnessed a widespread security deployment today, coinciding with the entry of a convoy belonging to the General Security into the city center, according to local sources.
The sources added that some members of the convoy chanted slogans saying, “Patience, Alawites, we have come to slaughter you,” which caused concern among the residents, while noticeable tension prevailed in several neighborhoods of the city.
This security movement comes amid an atmosphere of tension that the governorate has been experiencing in recent days, as military barracks and checkpoints were subjected to gunfire attacks by unknown armed men, resulting in several targeted incidents, without any official announcement regarding the perpetrators.
