SDF: More than 20 shells and a drone targeted the city of Deir Hafer

The Syrian Democratic Forces said that the city of Deir Hafer, in the countryside of Al-Tabqa, was subjected to intense artillery shelling and targeted by a booby-trapped drone, accusing factions affiliated with Damascus of attempting to pressure residents and force them to leave their areas.

The SDF Media Center explained, in a statement issued today, that the aforementioned factions continued their military escalation through indiscriminate shelling that hit areas inhabited by civilians, noting that during the past hour the city was struck by more than 20 artillery shells in addition to an attack by a booby-trapped drone.

The statement added that these attacks constitute a direct threat to the lives of civilians and confirm the deliberate targeting of residential neighborhoods, at a time when the Syrian Democratic Forces are closely monitoring the field developments and continuing to take the necessary measures to ensure the security of the city and the safety of its residents.
