SDF and Interim Government Affirm Commitment to March 10 Agreement Amid Positive Atmosphere

Two meetings—military and security—were held at Tishreen Palace in Damascus between delegations from Northeast Syria on one side, and the Defense and Interior Ministers of the Syrian Interim Government on the other, as part of the follow-up on implementing the March 10, 2025 agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Interim Government.
The negotiating delegation from the SDF and the Autonomous Administration included senior military and security figures, among them Suzdar Haji and Seban Hemo from the SDF General Command. The security side included Major General Dalir Hussein Tamo, Major General Ali Khadr Al-Hassan, Major General Mustafa Mahmoud Deli, and Major General Aho Aylio Lahdo, along with the Co-Vice President of the Interior Authority, Arin Mustafa. From the Interim Government, the meeting was attended by Minister of Defense Merhaf Abu Qusra and Minister of Interior Anas Khattab.
According to announcements, both parties emphasized the “necessity of implementing the provisions of the March 10, 2025 agreement,” noting that the atmosphere during the meetings was positive and constructive. These meetings are seen as part of ongoing efforts to enhance field coordination and stabilize areas that still witness tensions among various Syrian factions.
Local and international observers are closely monitoring these meetings, considering them a critical test of the parties’ ability to translate declared agreements into tangible realities on the ground in a country exhausted by more than a decade of war.
