Return of the Jazira Residents’ Convoy and the Wounded from Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh Neighborhoods to Al-Hasakah

The convoy of residents from the Jazira Canton, which had headed to the Deir Hafir area in support of the resistance of the residents of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods and the Internal Security Forces, has returned to the city of Al-Hasakah, led by a number of ambulances carrying those wounded in the recent events in the city of Aleppo.

The convoy, which set off yesterday in response to a call by the General Council of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, arrived at Panorama Roundabout at the southern entrance of Al-Hasakah city, amid a popular reception.

The ambulances led the convoy, and the wounded were transferred directly to Martyr Sariya Hospital and Al-Shaab Hospital in Al-Hasakah to receive the necessary treatment.

The convoy had attempted to reach the city of Aleppo, but it stopped in the Deir Hafir area within the Tabqa Canton due to road closures by mercenaries of the interim government, according to local sources.

These convoys were launched with the aim of supporting the resistance of the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh and the Internal Security Forces in Aleppo, amid the attacks carried out by mercenaries of the transitional government affiliated with the Turkish occupying state, which began on January 6 and resulted in the commission of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and massacres against civilians, amid international silence.

The convoy included hundreds of residents from cities and towns of the Jazira Canton, including Al-Hasakah, Tal Tamer, Al-Darbasiyah, Zarkan, Derik, Karkey Laki, Tal Kochar, Tal Hamis, Jil Agha, Tirbespiyê, Qamishlo, and Amuda, in a scene that reflected the unity of the popular stance and the determination of the people to break the siege and support the resistance.
