Renewed Clashes Near the Village of Al-Majdal in Rural Sweida

Clashes renewed on Saturday near the village of Al-Majdal in rural Sweida, following an attack carried out by armed groups affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government, according to field sources.

A local correspondent said that intense confrontations erupted along the village axis, coinciding with infiltration attempts carried out by armed groups yesterday, along with violations that included drone attacks and heavy machine-gun fire.

The National Guard forces deployed in the area confirmed that they repelled the infiltration attempts and responded to the sources of fire, noting that casualties were recorded among the attackers. They added that the intensity of the clashes later subsided, leaving the area in a state of security tension and cautious calm.
