Relief Convoy Arrives in Sweida Loaded with Fuel and Food Supplies

Sweida – Today, a humanitarian aid convoy entered Sweida Governorate, consisting of 10 trucks loaded with approximately 83,000 liters of diesel fuel, 6,250 food baskets, and various relief materials. The convoy aims to alleviate the suffering of residents affected by recent events.
The arrival of this convoy comes days after another convoy entered on September 10, which included about 80 commercial and relief trucks traveling via the Damascus–Sweida route, accompanied by teams from the Syrian Arab Red Crescent. It was loaded with food supplies, flour, vegetables, fruits, and other humanitarian aid.
Recently, the governorate has faced increased needs for food and essential supplies, with available humanitarian aid insufficient to fully cover the population’s requirements.
It is worth noting that the Busra al-Sham crossing, previously used for civilian and commercial convoy movement, remains closed, making the Damascus–Sweida route the only passage for civilian movement and aid delivery.
