Today, dozens of residents participated in a protest in “Al-Karama” Square in the center of As-Suwayda city, demanding the release of kidnapped men and women and ensuring their safe return to their families. The protesters held signs that read: “Free the women of As-Suwayda… Our sisters and daughters have been kidnapped… Raise your voices.”

Emphasis on the Right to Self-Determination

Alongside humanitarian demands, the participants stressed the community’s right in As-Suwayda to determine its political and social future, considering these protests part of ongoing pressure to achieve the residents’ rights and preserve their dignity.

Continuous Movement Since Last August

This protest follows a large demonstration in Shahba city in the As-Suwayda countryside on August 30, where dozens marched through the streets carrying pictures and banners affirming the right to self-determination, with notable participation from various social groups.
