Mutual accusations after a passenger bus was targeted on the Damascus–As-Suwayda road

The “National Guard Forces” in As-Suwayda province accused, on Tuesday, elements affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government of being responsible for targeting a civilian passenger bus in the Damascus countryside, which led to the death of two people and the injury of 11 others, including children, according to an official statement issued by the forces.
The statement said that the bus was transporting emergency humanitarian cases while passing on the Damascus Highway near the Marjaneh area in the Damascus countryside, adding that some of the injured were in critical condition.
The “National Guard Forces” condemned the incident, describing it as “a terrorist act targeting civilians and aiming to destabilize security,” and called for holding the perpetrators accountable.
Earlier today, the Syrian Al-Ikhbariyah channel quoted a security source as saying that two people were killed as a result of gunfire by unknown armed individuals on a passenger bus near the Marjaneh gas station on the Damascus–As-Suwayda road.
