Ministry of Emergency Announces Discovery of Mass Grave Near Damascus
State media reported on Thursday that a mass grave had been discovered on a farm near Damascus International Airport.
According to the reports, the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, in cooperation with the National Commission for the Missing, responded to a tip from a Syrian man who had recently returned from the Netherlands, stating that he had found the grave on his private farm near the airport.
The Director of Digital Protection in Syria said on the X platform that the grave contains the remains of several unidentified individuals, believed to have died during the era of the former regime.
No further details have yet been released regarding the identity or number of the victims, while the competent authorities have begun documentation and investigation at the site.
