Meeting Between Representatives of North and East Syria and the Transitional Government to De-escalate Aleppo

Representatives of North and East Syria held a meeting with officials from the Syrian Interim Government to discuss ways to reduce tensions and implement the agreement reached concerning Al-Sheikh Maqsood and Al-Ashrafiah neighborhoods in Aleppo.
The meeting included officials from the Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria region and commanders from the Syrian Democratic Forces, alongside officers and members from the Interim Government committee.
Discussion of Tensions and Military Buildups
The meeting addressed recent tensions in the city, particularly the military buildups around the two neighborhoods, emphasizing the need to adhere to the terms of the First Of April agreement.
Terms of the Previous Agreement
The agreement includes promoting coexistence, protecting residents, preventing armed displays, and organizing internal security, aiming to stabilize the neighborhoods and ensure the safety of civilians.
Outcomes and Recommendations
Both parties agreed to de-escalate and end military buildups around the both neighborhoods, in addition to holding regular meetings between the relevant committees to monitor the implementation of the agreement and ensure its continuity.
