Mass Demonstration in As-Suwayda: Freedom for the Kidnapped First

As-Suwayda Governorate – The city of Shahba, located north of As-Suwayda governorate, witnessed a large demonstration on Saturday, September 27, in which hundreds of residents participated. Protesters raised slogans demanding the right to self-determination and the immediate release of all kidnapped men and women.
The demonstrators also condemned what they described as “massacres” committed by the transitional authority in As-Suwayda, affirming that their protest actions will continue until their demands are met.
Dozens of protesters took to the streets of As-Suwayda city, carrying pictures of supporters from the Druze community who back the Damascus government and the transitional president, Ahmad Al-Shara, labeling them as “traitors” to the province’s people.
The protesters called for an end to what they described as “concessions and steps” that harm the interests of As-Suwayda and its residents, stressing that their movement will persist until their just demands are addressed.
