Limited military escalation in eastern Aleppo countryside and cautious calm this morning

Eastern Aleppo countryside witnessed a new field escalation after midnight on Thursday–Friday, as a result of indiscriminate shelling carried out by mercenaries of the transitional government on the city of Deir Hafir, and the outbreak of clashes on the al-Kayyariya–Maskanah axis east of the governorate with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Field sources reported the use of medium and heavy weapons during the clashes, without any confirmed information so far about deaths or injuries among the mercenaries of the transitional government.
This morning, a cautious calm prevailed across the axes of eastern Aleppo countryside, amid a state of anticipation regarding developments on the ground and the possibility of renewed confrontations.
In a related context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had monitored yesterday evening artillery shelling targeting the outskirts of the villages of Rasm al-Karoum and al-Imam, north of the city of Deir Hafir, carried out by government forces, which targeted agricultural areas surrounding the villages.
According to sources, the shelling caused a state of fear and panic among residents, without recording confirmed human losses, while the damage was limited to property and agricultural lands. They added that the intermittent military escalation in the area prompted a number of civilians to temporarily leave their homes for fear of renewed shelling.
