Lebanese Army: Patrol fired upon from the Syrian side without casualties.

On Sunday, the Lebanese Army announced that one of its patrols had come under gunfire from the Syrian side in the Mashrafa – Hermel area, with no casualties reported.

In a statement, the Army’s Directorate of Orientation said that on 14/12/2025, while a unit of the army was conducting a patrol in the Mashrafa – Hermel area, it was fired upon from the Syrian side.

The statement added that the patrol’s personnel returned fire at the sources of the gunfire, with no injuries to the military personnel.

The Army also mentioned that following the incident, communications took place between it and the relevant Syrian authorities, confirming that the situation had returned to normal.
