Lebanese Army Announces the Arrest of 38 Syrians for Entering Lebanese Territory Irregularly

The Lebanese Army announced on Monday the arrest of 38 individuals of Syrian nationality during raid operations carried out by military units for violating entry and residency regulations within Lebanese territory.
In a statement, the Army Command said that military units, supported by patrols from the Intelligence Directorate, conducted raid operations targeting houses and camps in several areas, resulting in the arrest of individuals “for moving within Lebanese territory in an irregular manner.”
The statement clarified that 36 Syrians were arrested in the town of Ghazza in the Western Bekaa, in addition to the arrest of two others in the Talya camp in the Baalbek area for entering Lebanese territory illegally, during which two rifles were seized in their possession.
The army noted that these operations come as part of the security measures taken in the Bekaa region and along the Lebanese–Syrian border.
