Launch of the Second Convoy of Displaced Families Returning to Afrin Tomorrow
The commander of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), Siamand Afrin, announced via the platform X the dispatch of the second convoy of displaced families returning to the Afrin region, as part of ongoing efforts to organize the return of residents to their home areas.
He explained that this step comes after the successful and safe arrival of the first convoy, and is based on prior understandings aimed at ensuring a gradual and well-organized return of the displaced.
According to the statement, the convoy is scheduled to depart tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. from Martyr Yousif Kalo Roundabout in the city of Qamishli, carrying around 200 families, and will travel along the M4 highway toward the Afrin region.
Siamand Afrin affirmed that efforts are continuing to guarantee a safe and orderly return for all residents, calling on the families registered in this convoy to adhere to the specified time and location to ensure the process proceeds according to the planned schedule, and wishing them a safe journey.
