Israeli Army Announces Creation of Security Lines in Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza Strip

The Israeli army announced on Monday that it is working on establishing what it described as security lines in Syria, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip, confirming that its forces are positioned in an advanced defensive posture and are ready to respond to any threat.

The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Aviv Kochavi, said during a visit to the headquarters of the 91st Division, alongside the Northern Command’s commander, Rafi Milo, that the army is implementing security lines in several theaters, including Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip.

Kochavi clarified that the Israeli forces are positioned in an advanced defensive stance and deployed at control points, adding that these forces are working on creating security lines in all theaters.

He added that the Israeli army will not allow the enemy to enhance its capabilities, emphasizing that his forces will respond to any breach of existing agreements. He noted that the ongoing policy involves continuing efforts to thwart threats, as he put it.

Kochavi also mentioned that the deployment of forces at these points aims to provide better protection for the population.

These statements come at a time when Israel is continuing its military activity in southern Syria, in addition to conducting airstrikes on scattered areas in southern Lebanon.
