Israel Sets Up Checkpoints Near Quneitra and Arrests Three Armed Men

Israeli forces have established temporary checkpoints along the Ofaniya–Jubata road in the Quneitra countryside of southern Syria, according to local field sources.
The sources reported that the Israeli movements caused a temporary halt to civilian traffic in the area, while the forces conducted limited search operations that resulted in the arrest of three individuals suspected of belonging to armed groups operating around the road.
Israeli authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the operation or its objectives, but analysts suggested that the measures could be part of surveillance and intelligence-gathering activities in the area near the Syrian–Israeli border.
This development comes amid intermittent tensions in southern Syria in recent months, alongside an increase in Israeli military and security activity along the disengagement line in the Golan Heights.
