Iranian Official Issues Warning to Israel Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, issued a warning message to Israel through a post on Instagram, in which he said that “Tehran’s patience regarding regional developments has limits,” amid escalating tensions following the killing of Hezbollah commander Haitham Ali Tabatabai in Beirut.

Larijani used a red background to write his message, which sparked wide interaction on social media platforms, amid varying interpretations regarding its implications and the possibility that it may affect the rules of engagement in the coming stage.

Larijani had previously stated that “confrontation with Israel has become the only option,” given what he described as challenges pressuring Iran’s policy of restraint.
