Intensive Israeli Movements in the Countryside of Quneitra Amid Security Tensions

The countryside of Quneitra has witnessed intensive Israeli military movements over the past hours, accompanied by reconnaissance aircraft flying over the area, which has stirred a state of tension and anticipation among residents.

Local sources reported that an Israeli military force advanced into the central countryside of Quneitra and cut off the road connecting the towns of Jabata al-Khashab and Khan Arnabeh, using around ten military vehicles, before later withdrawing toward its base in the village of al-Hamidiyah, without any clashes or casualties being recorded.

The sources added that Israeli forces had earlier advanced into the village of Umm Batna, coinciding with the launch of illumination flares over the village of al-Ajraf, which contributed to an escalation of tensions in the area.

In a related context, an Israeli force consisting of eight four-wheel-drive vehicles entered the village of al-Ajraf, before heading toward Tal Krum Jaba, without any information reported about the occurrence of clashes or the carrying out of arrests up to the time of preparing this report.

These movements come amid ongoing security tensions in the areas of the Quneitra countryside, with residents expressing concerns over their repercussions on local stability, at a time when no official comments have been issued by Syria’s transitional government.
