Injuries Among Civilians Following Gunfire from 80th Division Forces North of Deir Hafer

Local sources reported on Thursday that injuries were sustained by civilians in the village of Jeb Al-Abiad, north of Deir Hafer in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, due to gunfire from elements of the “80th Division” of the Syrian Transitional Government forces.
According to the sources, members of the “80th Division” opened fire with light and medium weapons at civilians who had gathered near makeshift oil refineries on the outskirts of the village, resulting in injuries, though the exact number has not been officially confirmed.
Activists shared video clips, claiming they document the moment of gunfire directed at the locals, amid warnings of the risk of fires breaking out in the area due to the presence of the oil refineries.
This incident comes two days after the killing of a civilian named Abdullah Al-Mousa in the same village, with local residents blaming elements from the same factions. The tension is increasing in areas controlled by Turkey-backed factions in the southern countryside of Manbij and northern Deir Hafer.
The region is experiencing heightened public unrest, with residents of Manbij taking to the streets in a protest, warning that continued targeting of civilians could lead to widespread escalation, given the sensitive tribal structure in the area and the lack of deterrent measures to prevent such violations.
