Initiative to Support Al-Hikma Hospital in As-Suwayda with Free Medical Services

The director of Al-Hikma Hospital in As-Suwayda, Ismail Al-Arbeed, said in a statement to “North Press” on Thursday that the hospital is receiving support from the spiritual leader of the Druze community in Palestine, Sheikh Muwaffaq Tarif.

Al-Arbeed explained that the initiative launched by Tarif to sponsor Al-Hikma Hospital aims to provide free medical services to the wounded and injured from the recent events in the governorate, in addition to caring for the displaced and refugees.

Tarif had announced at the end of last month his sponsorship of the hospital to provide treatment for the wounded and displaced, alongside special support programs for pregnant women residing in shelters.

Al-Arbeed pointed out that the initiative also includes the “Mahd” program, which covers the costs of natural and cesarean deliveries and provides accommodation for pregnant women and their newborns, including essential supplies.

He added that Al-Hikma Hospital was chosen because it is one of the largest medical centers in the southern region in terms of equipment and capacity.
