Germany and Norway Boost Military Support for Ukraine Ahead of NATO Ministers’ Meeting

Germany and Norway have announced additional military support for Ukraine totaling 782 million dollars, as part of NATO’s initiative to supply Kyiv with military equipment.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadefull stated that Germany will provide an additional 200 million dollars’ worth of military equipment to Ukraine through the Priority Requirements List mechanism, noting his country’s continued commitment to supporting the Ukrainian army.
For his part, Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide announced that Norway will provide 582 million dollars to purchase weapons for Ukraine, within NATO’s initiative to supply Kyiv with weapons acquired from the United States.
This announcement comes ahead of the NATO Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Brussels today, Wednesday, where the alliance is expected to discuss strengthening military support for Ukraine in the face of ongoing challenges on the ground.
