Evacuation of 46 Wounded from Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh to Raqqa Hospitals

This morning, 46 wounded men and women from the residents of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo arrived at hospitals in Raqqa Canton, after being evacuated from those neighborhoods during the early hours of dawn. Medical teams immediately began providing them with the necessary care and treatment.

The wounded were transferred to Martyr Kendal Military Hospital and Raqqa Hospital, with medical preparations in place to receive additional cases.

In the same context, the city of Al-Hasakah had earlier received 35 wounded men and women from the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, and more groups of wounded are expected to arrive in the coming hours.

These evacuations come in the wake of attacks carried out by mercenaries of the interim government affiliated with the Turkish occupying state on the predominantly Kurdish neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh in Aleppo since January 6, during which various types of heavy weapons were used to shell residential areas.

Drones belonging to the Turkish occupying state also carried out several attacks on these neighborhoods, resulting in the deaths of dozens of civilians and hundreds more wounded.
