Deaths and extensive destruction caused by an explosion in Kafr Takharim in the Idlib countryside

Five people were killed and others were injured on Wednesday as a result of an explosion that occurred in the town of Kafr Takharim in the Idlib countryside, which caused widespread destruction to residential buildings.
Local sources said that ambulance teams and residents continue to search for missing persons under the rubble, amid fears of a rising death toll, while the sound of the explosion was heard throughout various parts of the town.
The nature of the explosion remains unclear so far, and no official statement has been issued to determine its cause.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights indicated that the explosion resulted from an ammunition depot belonging to one of the armed factions inside a populated area, which increased the scale of human and material losses.
