Damascus: 8 Injured in Clashes at Yalda Town Police Post

Eight people were injured on Saturday following clashes between police officers at the Yalda town police post in the Damascus countryside and a group that attacked the post aiming to free youths detained over a dispute and stabbing.
Sources reported that the police officers fired shots into the air to disperse the attackers, but the assault continued, forcing the police to fire directly before local elders intervened to calm the situation.
Following the incident, police reinforcements were sent to the post, and the general security forces managed to arrest the civilians who attacked the post, amid a heavy security presence in Yalda.
