Conclusion of Meeting Between Autonomous Administration and Interim Government Delegations in Damascus

The delegation of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Syrian Interim Government concluded a meeting held today in the Syrian capital, Damascus, which addressed ways to implement the provisions of the March 10 agreement and discussed recent military and political developments, according to informed sources.

The sources stated that the meeting, which lasted several hours and was closed to the media, focused on mechanisms for implementing the agreement signed between the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Interim Government, in addition to discussing updates on the situation in Aleppo.

The meeting included the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazlum Abdi; the Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Office in the Autonomous Administration, Ilham Ahmed; and the Commander of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), Ruhlat Afrin, representing the Autonomous Administration. From the Interim Government side, President Ahmad Al-Shara and Minister of Foreign Affairs Asaad Al-Sheibani participated.

This meeting follows a session held on October 6, attended by representatives from the Autonomous Administration, the Syrian Democratic Council, and the Syria Future Party, along with the U.S. envoy to Syria, Tom Breck, and the Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper, as part of the international coalition’s efforts to support stability in the region.
