Arrival of 49 Families and 118 Wounded at Takoushin Camp in Al-Tabqa; Kurdish Red Crescent Calls for Support

The Kurdish Red Crescent reported the arrival of 49 displaced families from the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods in Aleppo to Takoushin Camp in the city of Al-Tabqa, along with 118 wounded individuals, most of them civilians, amid a severe shortage of medical and relief services in the camp.

The Kurdish Red Crescent stated that it provided urgent medical assistance to the arrivals through a mobile clinic and a fully equipped ambulance, under the supervision of a specialized medical team, emphasizing the urgent and ongoing need for medical care for both the wounded and the displaced.

The camp already hosts 175 displaced families from the Shahba area since the end of 2024, following the fall of the Baath regime. Additional groups of displaced people, including injured and sick individuals, are expected to arrive in the coming period, further straining the available services.

The Kurdish Red Crescent warned of the worsening humanitarian situation if the displaced are forced to return to their original areas, calling for intensified humanitarian efforts and the provision of medical and relief support to meet the needs of civilians and the wounded in the camp.
