Al-Shar’a to the Syrian Community in America: Your Loyalty Reflects the Deep Attachment to the Homeland

The head of the Syrian Interim Government, Ahmad al-Shar’a, sent a message of thanks and gratitude to the Syrian community in the United States, appreciating their warm reception and heartfelt feelings that accompanied his recent visit to New York City.

Al-Shar’a said in his message, as reported by the Syrian News Agency (SANA):
“Your honorable national stance and your impressive presence were the truest expression of your deep attachment to your motherland and your steadfast belief in the duty to revive it. You have proven that wherever a Syrian settles, they remain loyal to their roots and proud of their identity.”

Al-Shar’a affirmed that Syria “will not forget this noble stance that reflects the genuineness of the community and the purity of its patriotism,” while pointing out that the country has regained its historical status and is no longer isolated from the world. Various countries have shown their commitment to Syria’s territorial unity and rejected any calls for its division.

During his participation in the “Loyalty to Idlib” campaign on Friday evening, al-Shar’a said he wanted his first speech after returning from the United Nations General Assembly meetings to be “a tribute to Idlib,” emphasizing that Syria is capable of rising again after the fall of the previous regime.

He added:
“Just as God granted us victory over the most brutal regime in modern history, we are capable, God willing, of rebuilding our country anew. Lifting sanctions is not an end in itself, but a means to stimulate investment, improve the economy, and create job opportunities.”

Al-Shar’a called on all Syrians inside and outside the country to take responsibility during the reconstruction phase, stressing that the unity of the Syrian people is the foundation for building the Syria of the future.
