Al-Bukamal erupts in protests against corruption and deterioration of services.

The city of Al-Bukamal in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor witnessed a massive demonstration today, with dozens of residents participating to protest the spread of corruption and nepotism within local institutions and the deterioration of living and service conditions.
The protesters raised banners calling for combating rampant corruption and working to improve basic services, stressing that the current situation is no longer acceptable. The protesters also called on the head of the transitional government, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, or his representative, to visit the region urgently to witness the extent of the suffering and provide tangible solutions to stop the continuous deterioration.
These protests come amid growing public anger over poor management and lack of transparency, which has negatively impacted daily services and increased the suffering of residents in Al-Bukamal.
