Israeli Tank Targets Civilian Vehicle, Killing Young Man in Southern Quneitra
The Syrian youth Osama Fahd Al-Fahd (17 years old) was killed on the evening of Friday, April 3, 2026, after an Israeli tank targeted a civilian vehicle he was traveling in, west of Al-Zaaroura Farm, under Al-Rafid Municipality, in the southern countryside of Quneitra, near the border with the occupied Golan Heights.
According to reports by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) and local media outlets, the tank fired a shell directly at the vehicle while the young man was in the area checking on his livestock, resulting in his immediate death.
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the incident, describing it as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and considering it part of the ongoing Israeli attacks targeting civilians in border areas.
No official comment has yet been issued by the Israeli side regarding the incident, which occurs amid continuous tension along the Syrian borders with the occupied Golan.
