Oil Fields and Towns in Deir ez-Zor Come Under Attack as Clashes Continue

Towns and oil fields in Deir ez-Zor Governorate are coming under continuous attacks carried out by mercenaries of the Syrian transitional government and cells affiliated with the ISIS organization, leading to the outbreak of clashes that are still ongoing at the time of writing this report.
Local sources reported that mercenaries of the Syrian transitional government and ISIS mercenary cells have been continuing their attacks since yesterday, targeting areas extending from the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor to its northern countryside.
According to the information received, mercenaries of the transitional government launched attacks on the towns of Al-Baghouz, Shaafa, Sousa, Hajin, Abu Hamam, Gharanij, Dhiban, Daranj, the villages of Al-Shamiya, Al-Maamel, Al-Tayyaneh, Shetan, in addition to the oil fields of Koniko, Al-Omar, and Al-Tanak located in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, extending toward the north of the city.
According to military field sources, the Syrian Democratic Forces repelled these attacks, as clashes erupted in most of the targeted areas and are still ongoing until now.
