The Autonomous Administration Declares General Mobilization in Northern and Eastern Syria

The Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria Region announced a state of general mobilization, affirming the necessity of standing alongside the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women’s Protection Units, and stressing that popular resistance constitutes the primary option in confronting the ongoing attacks.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria Region issued a statement to public opinion, in which it affirmed that factions affiliated with the interim government in Damascus have violated the signed agreements and launched attacks on its forces’ positions on more than one front from yesterday morning until now, despite intensive efforts to find peaceful solutions and demonstrate good will, including withdrawal from some areas.

The statement clarified that “the continuation of these attacks reflects Damascus’s insistence on the option of military escalation,” and warned that their objective is to strike the state of brotherhood among the components of northern and eastern Syria, incite strife and violence, target the indigenous components, and impose a single color at the expense of the existing diversity in the region.

The statement pointed out that the current stage is pivotal, and that what is taking place represents an existential challenge that threatens the gains of the revolution and the societal identity, and it called for popular unity and solidarity to defend the cities and protect dignity.
