Heavy Weapons Shelling Targets the City Center of Deir Hafir
The city center of Deir Hafir, part of the Tabqa Canton, was targeted today by heavy weapons shelling carried out by mercenaries of Syria’s transitional government, resulting in material damage to civilian property.
Local sources reported that the shelling struck residential neighborhoods inside the city, amid escalating tensions in the area, with no confirmed information so far regarding human casualties.
According to the same sources, the cities of Deir Hafir and Maskanah have been subjected since yesterday afternoon to a series of attacks, including strikes by drones belonging to the Turkish occupation, in addition to artillery shelling carried out by mercenaries of the transitional government, causing fear and anxiety among residents.
The security situation in the area remains unstable, amid warnings of further damage should the military escalation continue.
