A Number of Medical Staff Martyred at Khaled Fajr Hospital as a Result of Shelling

A number of medical staff working at Khaled Fajr Hospital in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of the city of Aleppo were martyred as a result of the heavy shelling carried out by mercenaries of the transitional government in Syria.

The medical facility has been subjected for some time to repeated attacks with artillery, mortars, and rockets, resulting in severe damage inside the hospital’s departments.

The hospital currently houses dozens of wounded and patients, most of them children, women, and the elderly, while the medical staff confirmed the martyrdom of a number of workers and the injury of others with varying degrees of wounds.

Flames are rising from inside the building amid urgent appeals to halt the shelling, as the lives of dozens of civilians are now directly threatened and in critical condition.

Several departments in the hospital are also suffering from power outages and a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies, due to the large number of casualties resulting from the ongoing attacks.
