Residents Head from Raqqa, the Euphrates, and Jazira to Aleppo in Support of the Steadfastness of Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud

At this time, residents of the Raqqa, Euphrates, and Jazira regions are heading toward the city of Aleppo, in response to the general mobilization announced by the Council of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, expressing their full support for the council’s decision and for the steadfastness of the residents in the face of attacks by mercenaries of the interim government.

Hundreds of residents from the cities of Kobani, Sarrin, and Ain Issa in the Euphrates region, along with residents from cities of the Jazira region, have arrived in the city of Raqqa, where they joined the city’s residents and the displaced people of Afrin, in preparation for jointly heading toward Aleppo.

The civilian convoy set off from in front of the Executive Council building in the Raqqa region toward the Tabqa region, as part of the preparations to head to the city of Aleppo, in support of the residents of the besieged neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid.

The movement of these convoys comes within the framework of the popular and humanitarian mobilization witnessed in the North and East Syria region, in response to calls demanding the lifting of the siege and the cessation of attacks carried out by mercenaries of the interim government against the besieged neighborhoods in Aleppo since January 6 of the current month.

The convoy is scheduled to continue its march after gathering in the Tabqa region toward the city of Aleppo, in a step that affirms the solidarity of the residents and the unity of the popular stance in confronting the ongoing attacks, and in support of the steadfastness of civilians in the besieged neighborhoods.
