Osman Hospital Put Out of Service Following Direct Shelling in Aleppo’s Ashrafieh Neighborhood

Osman Hospital in the Ashrafieh neighborhood of Aleppo was put out of service today after being subjected to direct shelling, leading to a complete halt in the provision of medical services, in a serious development that exacerbates the suffering of civilians in the area.
Local sources reported that the shelling was carried out by armed factions affiliated with Syria’s transitional government, causing severe damage to the hospital’s departments, while no confirmed information has yet emerged regarding the extent of human casualties.
According to the sources, these factions are systematically targeting infrastructure and service facilities in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid, as part of an ongoing escalation involving artillery fire and heavy shelling.
Armed factions affiliated with the transitional government — including Al-Hamzat, Al-Amshat, Sultan Murad, and Nour al-Din al-Zenki — which receive direct support from the Turkish state, continue their intensive shelling of these neighborhoods, threatening the lives of hundreds of thousands of civilians and further worsening the humanitarian situation in the city of Aleppo.
