Woman Killed and Dozens of Civilians Injured as a Result of Shelling on Bani Zaid Neighborhood in Aleppo

A woman was killed and dozens of people were injured today as a result of shelling carried out by factions affiliated with the transitional government targeting the Bani Zaid neighborhood in the city of Aleppo, as part of a military escalation that has seen the expansion of targeting to include new neighborhoods in the city.

Local sources reported that the shelling struck densely populated residential areas, resulting in civilian casualties and material damage to property, with no final toll of injuries available so far.

The Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods were also subjected to similar shelling, leading to injuries among unarmed civilians, including women and children, amid a state of fear and panic among residents.

This shelling comes amid warnings of worsening humanitarian conditions, with the continuation of military operations in densely populated residential areas and the accompanying risks to civilians and the city’s infrastructure.
